Carlgren Warns Municipalities

Minister for the Environment Andreas Carlgren has warned municipalities of consequences in the future if they do not help increase the wind power net in this country. Speaking at an energy conference in Stockholm, Carlgren accused many municipalities of deliberately trying to stop the expansion of wind power stations.

“If they continue like that, they might have to face legal consequences”, Carlgren was quoted as saying. The minister also revealed that a law reform could give municipalities the right to demand environmentally-friendly construction plans from builders.
