Artist Lars Vilks and the woman accused of plotting to kill him
Vilks Murder plot

"Jihad Jane" Denies the Charges

Colleen LaRose, who went by the name "JihadJane" on internet, denies the charges of involvement in the plot to kill the Swedish artist Lars Vilks, news agency TT reports.

Her case appeared in the federal court in Philadelphia on Thursday.

47-year-old LaRose has been held in custody in Philadelphia since October 2009.

Lars Vilks made a drawing in 2007 of the Prophet Mohammed with the body of a dog in 2007. A 100,000 US dollar bounty was put on his head by a group linked to al-Qaida.

Last week Irish police arrested seven men and women, on suspicion of plotting to assassinate Vilks. Irish police then said there were links with the arrests and Colleen LaRose, aka Jihad Jane, in the US.
