Government Proposes New Crime Laws

The current ruling centre-right coalition in Sweden has presented new crime-fighting plans which it plans to introduce if it wins the next election in September.

The policies include allowing the police to publish pictures of suspects, random drug tests in schools as well as giving criminals shorter sentences if they confess.

If criminals break the law more than once they can also expect longer sentences, according to Swedish Radio.
