Skies Free of Ash

Air travel conditions returned to normal during Wednesday night and civil aviation authorities reported a stable outlook for Thursday.  

A large ash cloud drew in over Swedish airspace on Wednesday, promoting the authorities to introduce a zone 2 status, meaning all flights needed special approval for take off. On Thursday morning all Swedish airports were classified as zone 3, meaning no delays were expected delays due to volcanic ash.
