Nazi Newspaper Under Investigation

Nationellt Motstånd a Swedish newspaper connected to the extreme rightwing and anti-immigration movement is being investigated for incitement and racial agitation, Swedish news agency TT reports.

Swedish Attorney General started the investigation after complaints of an article published on the paper’s website on April 16. The article commented on the case of a 78-year-old woman who died in hospital after she was beaten by a 23-year-old man in Landskrona, southern Sweden, earlier this spring.

According to the Attorney General’s office the comments on the website are too racist to be covered by the freedom of expression guaranteed in the constitution and that it could be defined as racial agitation.
