Princess Lilian Diagnosed with Alzheimers

The Swedish royal court says that 95 year old Princess Lilian is suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, and for that reason will not be attending the June 19 wedding of Crown Princess Victoria.

Marshall of the Court Elisabeth Palmstierna tells the newspaper “Aftonbladet” that Princess Lilian has been diagnosed with the disorder and is too tired and frail to attend.

The Welsh born princess is the widow of King Carl Gustaf’s uncle, Prince Bertil.
