Protests on Iranian Anniversary

On the first anniversary of the disputed Iranian presidential elections, demonstrations were held at a number of places in Stockholm Saturday.

Several hundred protesters gathered at the Sergels torg plaza in the heart of the city.

Among the speakers: Sweden’s EU Minister Birgitta Ohlsson who told the participants not to give up the struggle, and Left Party leader Lars Ohly, who said the regime in Iran is living on borrowed time.
