Points for German, French, Spanish?

The Swedish education minister has proposed that high school students studying German, French or Spanish should get extra points in their application for university studies.

Only 60% of the students these days bother to study these foreign languages - content with only the compulsory Swedish and English.

The minister says this is a "voluntary" measure to encourage the students to choose another foreign language.
