Many of those local authorities took the chance to give presents to the bridal couple. Westling's hometown of Ockelbo presented the pair with folk costumes, while Malung-Sälen handed over a traditional painted Dalecarlian horse, Danderyd gave a toaster, and Vallentuna offered a runestone.
After the reception in Stockholm City Hall, the government continued its hosting duties at a dinner on Skeppsholmen and a gala at the iconic Concert Hall.
