Nordic Diet Improves Health, Cuts Kilos

New Swedish research collides with the standard idea here that the best way to loose weight is to replace those traditional Nordic grains, turnips and salmon  with  the green vegetables, fruits and olive-oil bliss of the much- lauded Medditeranian diet.

At the University of Uppsala just north of Stockhom, researchers have been giving some 90 heavy-weight participants aged between 25 and 65 standard Nordic foods and seasoning – with good results.
