Deadly Collision on the Line

A man was killed when a goods train hit a car in southern Sweden just after 1pm on Wednesday.

The car was on a crossing - despite the presence of barriers - when it was hit in the side by the train and dragged for a hundred metres. The accident means that trains between Kristianstad and Bleking are replaced by a bus service. News agency TT reports that trains will start going again no sooner than 7pm.
