Since the Swedish election on September 19 the party secretaries, in charge of developing and coordinating party policies, from all four centre-right government parties and from the Green Party have announced that they will resign. But the party secretaries from two of the parties that lost this years election, the Social Democrats and the Left Party, remain on their posts, news agency TT reports.
Per Schlingmann, party secretary for the conservative Moderate Party, will instead be the spokesman for the prime ministers office while Erik Ullenhag, of the Liberal Party, has become the new minister of integration. The party secretaries from the Centre Party and the Christian Democrats have not been given new official positions.
Agneta Börjesson, from the Green Party, says she will resign at the party congress in May to leave plenty of time for her successor to prepare for the election 2014.
