Snow continues to cause traffic chaos

Buses have been cancelled, roads blocked and even Stockholm's metro system has faced delays Wednesday, as an area of snow and strong winds continue to cause trouble across southern Sweden.

School buses in many of the southern counties were cancelled, and snow ploughs are out in force to clear the roads.

Meanwhile, the south-eastern county of Kalmar is facing a different problem, flooding. Local rivers in the area are close to breaking their banks, according to news agency TT, with sandbags now being placed in vulnerable spots to keep the waters from flooding local villages.
