Weekend workshop in local government

This weekend Sweden’s Green Party is holding a special conference focusing on local government issues. Despite being part of the losing side in the recent national elections, the party is riding high.

They are now the third largest party in parliament, and greatly increased their influence on the local level, taking part now in governing almost one-third of this country’s municipalities. This weekend some of their new local politicians will get a crash course in governing.
