New faces at the Green Party

While it has been hard to find volunteers to fill Mona Sahlin's position at the Social Democrats, several candidates are eager to represent the Green Party.

Unlike other political parties the Greens do not have a leader, only two spokespeople, one male, one female, who serve for a maximum of nine years.

So far three women have said they would like to step up to replace the very popular Maria Wetterstrand, although the possible male candidates have been less forward.

One of the biggest names in the Greens - economic spokeswoman Mikaela Valtersson - says that she needs more time to think about it, but she has also been outspoken in the media, saying in Friday's Dagens Nyheter that the red-green coalition is definitely over, and that any future Green cooperation should be only with the Social Democrats.
