Frida defeated the predator on points

Frida Wallberg is the new female lightweight boxing champion of the world - in the first ever boxing world title match on Swedish soil.

The 27-year old from Åtvidaberg in southern Sweden fought an offensive match at Stockholm's Hovet arena. She faced the 31-year old Olivia 'the predator' Gerula from Canada.

After the match Wallberg told TV news that she had fought while suffering from a cold - and that that her opponent had been really tough opposition.

The judges awarded Wallberg the match on 77-75, 78-75 and 78-75.
