The same snow storm that is affecting southern Sweden is also causing problems nearby at Copenhagen’s Kastrup International Airport. The airport’s head of information Sören Hedegaard tells the Ritzau news agency that passengers will need patience Thursday.
For a while the snow meant that only one runway could be used, but Sören Hedegaard announced at 10:00 UTC that the second runway was back in operation.
Thursday morning saw ten international departures delayed and some flights to London and Paris were cancelled. Following the reopening of the second runway, he says there should be no more cancellations, but passengers should continue to expect delays.
