20 months for stealing Auschwitz sign

The Swedish ex-neo Nazi accused of helping steal the notorious Nazi concentration camp sign "Arbeit Macht Frei - work liberates" from Auschwitz was sentenced to 20 months in prison by a Polish court on Thursday.

The Swede, who became known in Sweden for leaving the neo-Nazi movement and helping other youngsters to do the same, at first denied all involvement but later admitted his guilt in the sensational theft and could lead to two years imprisonment.
