Extra aid to Somalia

Sweden will give another $1.5 million to Somalia to improve conditions in the impoverished African nation. The money, distributed by the official Swedish aid agency, SIDA, will fund an Oxfam project in the country.

The project aims to improve peoples’ ability to support themselves through farming. The extra money will pay for irrigation and education.
