Undercover photography to be illegal?

Photographing people without their permission in "private" areas should be illegal, says the Swedish Government, which is to suggest a new law banning photos being taken of people in their houses and in gym changing rooms, for example.

Justice Minister Beatrice Ask told Swedish Radio News that the current legislation isn't enough, and that more needs to be done.

When asked if this could limit journalists' abilities to uncover wrongdoings in society, Ask replied that if there was a genuine public interest then exceptions may be made by courts.
