SL calls off graffiti prosecution

Stockholm's local public transport authority, SL, has decided against prosecuting an art student, after he trashed a metro train carriage as part of an art project.

Graffiti artist Magnus "Nug" Gustafsson filmed the destruction of the carriage, but as he was camouflaged as he sprayed the train and smashed windows, SL fears it can't be proven beyond reasonable doubt that it is actually him carrying out the vandalism, according to Metro newspaper in Stockholm.

Repairing the train cost over US$12 thousand, Metro reports that the artist earned more than US$23 thousand through the art exhibition where the film was shown.
