Water drinkable again in Östersund

The local council in the Swedish central city of Östersund has officially announced that it is once again safe to drink the water - following tests have demonstrated that the Cryptosporidium parasite that made thousands of people ill has been eliminated.

The residents of the area have been forced to boil drinking water after the first cases of stomach illness were discovered in November.
