Young Swede breaks record

Sweden's new young pole vault star Angelica Bengtsson has broken her own Swedish record by eleven centimetres.

Competing at the Globe arena in Stockholm last night, the 17 year old cleared 4.63 metres, breaking the Swedish record and enough for second place behind the older and more experienced Russian world champion Svetlana Feofanova who cleared 4,68 metres. Bengtsson is the reigning junior world champion in pole vault and is a real gold medal hope in the British Olympics in 2012.
