Foreign Ministry: No injured or dead Swedes

The Swedish Foreign Ministry has been in touch with all of the dozen or so Swedes that were known to be in the area affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. All of them are physically unharmed. There could however be more Swedes in the area, that are not known to the Ministry.

The Embassy in Tokyo is now looking at the transport options for those who want to leave. The Foreign Ministry is now advising against "unnecessary travel to the hard affected areas of Aomori, Iwate, Miyagi, Fukushima and Ibaraki".
