Facebook servers on way to Luleå?

The huge social media site Facebook may soon open a server park in the northern Swedish town of Lulea, reports a local newspaper.

The park would use as much electricity as a small town and cause the local area to get warmer by a couple of degrees due to the amount of heat generated by the computer servers storing information about people from all across the globe.

Norrländska Socialdemokraten writes that the local council is in the final stages of giving planning permission for the park, but that Facebook themselves are being tight-lipped about the plans.
