Saab suppliers threaten more lay-offs

Saabs sub-contractors continue to give notice about potential lay-offs since the Sabb's assembly line in Trollhättan in Western Sweden is still at a standstill.

The jobs of more than 400 workers employed with companies making parts for Saab have been threatened, since financial problems hit the Swedish automaker and caused it to halt production lines some seven weeks ago.

Meanwhile the Dutch-owned Swedish automaker is hoping that a deal with the Chinese manufacturer Pang Da can help rescue it.
