Bear vandals

Owner compensated after bear attacked home

The owner of a cabin in Ljusdal in the northern part of Sweden received 43,000 kronor (about 6,500 US dollars) after a bear damaged the vacation home, Swedish news agency TT reports.

Citing the newspaper Ljusdals-Posten, TT writes the damage occurred last year when the bear tried to get underneath the house. The bear scratched up the façade and door, then moved a large stone that was part of the foundation.
