Uncertain future sinks SKF

Major Swedish industrial firm SKF has seen its shares fall by 5 per cent.

Although its third-quarter results show better profits than last year, the uncertain state of the world economy is hitting SKF hard. As a company that supplies parts for many industrial processes SKF is dependent on factories expanding across the world.

SKF reports a profit of US$ 348m, slightly better than analysts' expectations.
