Social Democrats' ratings tumble

The main opposition party the Social Democrats is losing support among would be voters. An opinion poll published by newspaper Expressen puts support at 26,6 percent. Women and the young are those most likely to have turned their backs on the left-of-centre workers' party.

Its leader Håkan Juholt has the confidence of 12 percent of the survey's respondents. This compares to 57 percent for Fredrik Reinfeldt, the prime minister and party leader for the right-of-centre Moderates.
