Students wrongly placed in special education school

The School Inspectorate says at least 100 children may have been wrongly placed in special education schools. After a random review of a number of municipalities, the General Director of the School Inspectorate describes the situation to newspaper Dagens Nyheter as "very upsetting".

The agency criticized 30 municipalities last year for the same problems. They followed up 22 of the districts this year and found that 13 students had been removed from special education classes. Another nine had left special education classes after their parents' requests.
