H&M Launches Lagerfeld Friday

After months of waiting, fans of Karl Lagerfeld will be able to buy clothes from his fashion line for Swedish retailer Hennes and Mauritz (H&M) at stores across Europe and North America starting Friday.

Some 1,000 stores in some 20 countries worldwide will launch the ”Karl Lagerfeld for H and M” line. Lagerfeld, the influential man behind Chanel ands Fendi, is the first high-profile designer to launch a collection for the low-cost retailer.

H&M was founded in 1947 by Swede Erling Persson, and has over the past 20 years gone from a small Scandinavian retailer to one of the world’s largest clothing chains.
