Mijailovic Hearing Continues

Six medical experts were questioned by the Supreme Court Thursday, giving their conflicting opinions about the mental health of Mijailo Mijailovic, the confessed killer of Foreign Minister Anna Lindh.

The court will decide whether the 25 year old should be in prison or psychiatric care. The six Supreme Court judges will hear the medical testimony and final arguments before ruling whether Mijailo Mijailovic is well enough to serve prison time.

A district court originally sentenced Mijailovic to life in prison, but that was overturned by an appeals court, which ordered psychiatric care instead, saying that Mijailovic suffered from ”borderline personality disorders.”

Final arguments in the case are expected to be heard Thursday afternoon and the Supreme Court’s ruling, which is final, is expected within two or three weeks.
