Baby jar ban for bisphenol A

On Thursday, the Swedish government is set to ban the substance bisphenol A from being used in baby food jar lids, according to Swedish Radio News.

The substance is suspected of disrupting the endocrine systems of humans and animals.

Environment minister Lena Ek from the Center party told Swedish Radio News that this chemical is dangerous, and this step is aimed at dealing with bisphenol in the right way.

The substance is already forbidden for the teats of baby bottles. The next product from which it might be banned is receipts.
