Still no decision on tomorrow's retail strike

The outcome of today's trade union negotiation has yet to be announced.

If either the trade union (Handels) or the employers' group (Svensk Handel) reject the bids proposed on Wednesday, a strike will begin at midnight tonight.

Kristina Jogestrand, press secretary at retail trade union Handels, told news agency TT, "Negotiations are still in process and it is not clear when we will be able to announce their outcome."

The outcome affects around 6,000 employees across the country, which means that a strike could cost hundreds of millions of Swedish kronor per day.
