Prison for sex trafficking

Six men from Romania have received jail sentences here in connection with Sweden’s biggest ever case of sex trafficking. They were accused of bringing women from Romania and forcing them into prostitution in Gothenburg.

Two men, both aged 45, who were accused of running the ring, have both been sentenced to six years imprisonment for trafficking and procuring.

The other four defendants were convicted of procuring. Three of them received four and a half year sentences, the other man was given a three year sentence.
