Strike delays nuclear reactor start

A strike in the building sector has delayed the start up of Reactor 3 at Oskarshamn nuclear power station which has been offline for a year due to maintenance work.

The reactor was due to be back online May 12 but according to the newspaper VVS-Forum, that start-up date has been put back until 23 May because of industrial action by 25 assembly fitters. The cost of the reactor being closed is $2.8 million dollars a day.
