SWEknob wins best young Swedish company

"We cannot believe it"
4:01 min

Two Swedish hockey fanatics have won this year's competion to find Sweden's best young entrepreneurs. Anton Falk and Sebastian Nilsson, from Växsjö, scooped first prize for their company idea for a rubber device on the handle of a hockey stick which prevents a player's gloves from deteriorating.

Sebastian Nilsson explained his idea to Radio Sweden.

"Hockey players use tape on their stick and the glue in the tape destroys the leather in the gloves and with our rubber product, the gloves last five times longer, saving hundreds of dollars."

The competition, run by the Young Company Society of Sweden, began last year with over 20,000 high school students taking part.

The finals, lasting two-days, took place in Stockholm on Monday and Tuesday.
