New laws seem to have little impact on file sharing
Illegal file sharing is just as popular as ever, despite the tough new laws put in place in recent years, according to a new study from Lund University.
Neither file sharers, nor the community, think they are doing anything wrong. "The laws don't resonate in the users' sense of right and wrong," Måns Svensson, a net researcher at Lund University, tells news agency TT.
More than 60 percent of Swedish youth between age 15 and 25 download files illegally onto their computers, according to a Lund University survey.
