Investigation among Sweden's most expensive
Swedish Radio News reports that the investigation that led to the current trial of accused serial killer Peter Mangs was the most expensive ever by the police in the southern province of Skåne. And at around US$7 million, it has been one of the most costly police investigations ever in Sweden.
Besides the investigators themselves, the costs include access to lists of telephone calls, data, and the use of specialists.
Mangs is charged with three murders and 12 attempted murders, mostly of people with immigrant backgrounds.
