Nato cooperation more important now: Reinfeldt

Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt has told participants at the Nato Summit in Chicago today that Swedish cooperation with the military alliance has become more important.

“The cooperation is more important now at a time when many countries are implementing economic cutbacks,” he said.

He added that Swedish forces in Afghanistan will be phased out in 2014 and that the country could consider contributing to the Afghan national police force.
