A protest against honour killing in Landskrona last month

Protests against honour killing staged today

One month after the murder of a 19-year-old woman in Landskrona, an organisation working to combat honour-related killings has arranged a series of protests to take place in four Swedish towns and cities this afternoon.

It was a month ago today that the young woman was stabbed to death. Her 17-year-old brother is a suspect while her mother was arrested but later released.

The Never Forget Pela and Fadime organisation is staging protests in Karlskrona, Stockholm, Uppsala and Gothenburg.
