Police attacked in night of unrest in Malmö

Police and fire crews in Malmö were bombarded with stones when they responded to an alarm call in the Rosengård suburb of Malmö on Tuesday evening.

The police and firefighters had been called in after a vehicle and motorcycle had been set on fire at a petrol station. They were attacked by a small group of youths throwing stones, reports news agency TT.

A larger police presence was called in to secure the area. The unrest lasted for several hours. Two 24-year-old men and a 17-year-old youth have been arrested.
