Anders Carlén is co-author of a new book, "Swedes in battle", which chronicles war-time experiences of soldiers from Sweden, a country which technically hasn't been to war in over two centuries.

Yet 100,000 Swedes have participated in missions from Korea to Lebanon, and currently has several hundred troops in Afghanistan. Anders Carlén himself has been a peace keeper, first in Bosnia, then in Kosovo.

He joined Radio Sweden's Ann Törnkvist earlier today in the studio.
