power failure

Trains expected to run again by 3 pm

All northbound trains from Stockholm central are standing still due to a power failure and passengers on south bound commuter trains are also experiencing heavy delays.

The power failure has been caused by cables burning at Häggvik just north of the capital. According to the Swedish Transport Administration, trains are expected to be up and running again at 3 pm.

Until then, no trains are running between Stockholm Central and Arlanda. Trains from Stockholm to Dalarna and Sundsvall are now being rerouted, but the longer journeys will cause further delays.
