Diabled continue to face discrimination in Sweden

A majority in the Parliamentary committee on the labor market are demanding that the government quickly come up with a bill to make it illegal to discriminate against disabled people on the basis of poor accessibility.

Committee members from the opposition parties want to ban this kind of discrimination.

However, members from the ruling center-right Alliance want to wait for the government's work on the issue to be complete, since one study suggests it would cost millions of dollars to reconstruct work places and homes to be handicapped accessible.
