Guilty verdict in Jyllandsposten terrorist trial

A Danish court has found four men with Swedish connections guilty of planning a terrorist attack in Denmark.

They will receive their sentences Monday afternoon. The prosecutor has called for 14-16 years imprisonment. The longest sentence ever given in Denmark so far has been 12 years.

They were charged with plotting to attack the offices of the newspaper Jyllands-Posten in retaliation for the publication of caricatures of the Prophet Mohammed.

When the police raided their apartment in Denmark in December 2010 they found weapons, ammunition, and an mp3 player with songs about Jihad. The evidence also includes wiretap recordings by the Swedish police.

Three of the men are Swedish citizens, all of them live in Sweden.
