One of this country’s best known politicians has indicated she might be ready to return to Swedish politics. But, Margot Wallström tells Swedish Television News, she has no interest in becoming leader of the Social Democrat party, a position she has rejected several times in the past.
Wallström was a EU Commissioner for more than a decade, and has spent the last two years at the United Nations, as the special representative on issues of sexual violence in conflict. She earlier held several cabinet posts in the Swedish government. Her opening to a political role in this country comes after Stefan Löfven has taken over as Social Democrat leader.
