Death in small plane crash near Stockholm

A light aircraft crashed outside Frölunda airfield north of Stockholm Tuesday evening. According to the emergency services, one of the two people onboard died in the crash while the other suffered serious burn injuries.

Swedish Radio News reports that the plane belonged to an flying club at the field and encountered a problem on take-off at 5:42 PM Tuesday.

It crashed into the nearby forest. Rescue services found one body inside the plane.

The other person was lying on the ground next to the aircraft and was taken by an ambulance helicopter to Uppsala University Hospital.
