EURO 2012 - 1 DAY TO GO

Elmander soon to take part in full training

Sweden coach Erik Hamrén has given his first press conference in Kiev on the eve of Euro 2012 in Poland and Ukraine.

The Swedish squad flew out to Ukraine yesterday and are now settled into their hotel complex which will be their home for the tournament. The Swedes are based at the Platium Hotel which is 20 kilometres south of Kiev. Sweden will play all three of its Group D matches in Kiev.

Erik Hamrén said he was looking forward to his first major tournament in charge of the national team and was pleased with his preparations so far.

He reported no fresh injury concerns following Tuesday's 2-1 friendly win over Serbia. Hamrén did say that he would wait until Monday before deciding whether to play striker Johan Elmander in that night's Group D opener against co-hosts Ukraine in Kiev.

Elmander, who broke a metatarsal bone in his foot playing for his Turkish club side last month, has begun training by himself with a football and should take part in full training on Friday or Saturday.

Hamrén also said that he was still undecided over several positions in his starting eleven for Monday
