Can immigrants to Sweden ever become truly Swedish in the same way as newcomers to the US become American?

Jasenko Selimović, from the Liberal Party, and State Secretary to the Integration Minister, says there is a serious problem with the way Swedishness is defined today. He believes nationality here is still based too much on culture and ethnicity, when it should be more inclusive and based on citizenship.
